The Bronx Whitestone Bridge is a heavily traveled, 7,100-foot-long, suspended span bridge, connecting Bronx and Queens . Existing construction varies, and consists of a 2,300 feet main span, 555 feet side spans and approach spans on both sides.

Scope of work included miscellaneous painting and rope collar replacement at Bronx Whitestone bridge.  Work included removal, refurbishing, and reinstallation of elastomeric collars at the suspender ropes, removal of seizing wires from suspender ropes, lead abatement, painting of suspender ropes, painting of stringers, median barriers and parapets, and miscellaneous repairs.  Maintenance and Protection of Traffic was performed during both daytime and nighttime work.
